* EEEF president Mark Mao presented a check for $100,000 to the Evergreen School District at their Board meeting on April 19, 2012 at Norwood Creek Elementary School, to be earmarked for school libraries. This amount includes last year’s profits of nearly $30K as well as some of the funds raised during the current school year.

Camp Jano India will donate $10 to EEEF for each child enrolled in the Camp.
Explore, learn and be inspired by Indian culture, leaders, languages, arts, festivals, literature and cuisine. Weekly themes are brought to life through related arts, theatre, games, projects, stories and hands on activities in a unique, exciting, creative, interactive, structured style and high energy. A very unique and memorable experience that kids will want to repeat! Mornings are devoted to Hindi at the child’s level while incorporating the weekly theme. Afternoons provide the cultural elements with special emphasis on drama as the medium.

EEEF is trying to raise $695,000 to keep all Evergreen district school libraries open four days a week for the 2012-13 school year. We need your help and support to make this happen. EEEF submitted the Evergreen School District a check for $100,000 at its Board of Trustees Meeting at Norwood Creek Elementary School. This money is earmarked for the preservation of district school libraries.

San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed is pleased to recognize the Evergreen Elementary Education Foundation as the District 8 State of the City Honoree at the Mayor’s Annual State of the City Address on Thursday, February 17th, 2011 at the San Jose Civic Auditorium at 6:00 p.m.

February 10th, 2011
EEEF handed the Evergreen School District a check for $50,000 at its Board of Trustees Meeting at Quimby Oak School.

August 7, 2010
Rose Herrera, District 8 Councilmember, featured EEEF in her column in the August 7-20 edition of the Evergreen Times (Volume 27, page 13).
